Nandos Alpha Angle

Now, now, readers would wonder why of all places Nandos? Well, Nandos is apparently one of my favourite restaurants and I would love to share it with everyone. Some would probably be fans of Nandos as well, or have had experience eating there or some might just dislike Nandos like some people I know.

Exactly what I did! I went for buka puasa at Nandos Alpha Angle in Wangsa Maju.
1/4 Chicken with 2 Sidelines - RM 14.95
I had this! I love Nandos' Peri Chips and Potato Salad. Their Mediterranean Rice is also as good. I had those two sidelines with a Hot-flavoured chicken. At Nando's, you can choose the flavour of your chicken; Lemon and Herb, Mild, Hot, Extra Hot.
1/2 Chicken - RM 19.90
If you feel carnivorous and you are not a fan of vegetables and carbohydrates, you can always opt for chicken only.
Extra Hot Peri Peri Sauce
You must never ever miss this! Their famous Peri-Peri sauce is to die for! *note, it ain't for the faint hearted!*
Currently for the month of Ramadhan, Nandos is having a promotion, Ramadhan Peri Ria. You get to have the 1/4 chicken with 2 sidelines, an adorable chocolate truffle for dessert and bottomless carbonated drink for just RM 23.90!

Should you be curious on other stuffs on their menu, just click here. Nandos has improved their website and it is now interactive! Go check it out yea! Oh, also remember that Nandos charges 5% for government tax and 10% for service charge. They also do not do phone reservation. You have to go there earlier and make an order, pay and you will have a table blocked for you.

Fiske Steakhouse, Medan Selera AU2 Keramat

Fiske Steakhouse is a great place to go if you are craving for good Western Food. Located in front of Sapura in Keremat Hulu Kelang, Fiske Steakhouse offers a mix of Western and Eastern. There are a variety of steaks and pasta to choose from. I've been to Fiske Steakhouse for so many times and I keep coming back for more. I have tried their satay and asam pedas, but I like their Western food better.

You gonna find spaghetti under your steak if you order Special Beef/Lamb Steak.

Pan Roasted Filled Dory is my favorite.

I'm proud to say that I've tried all of their pasta!

As I said earlier, Pan Roasted Filled Dory is my favorite. Served with mash potato AND baked potato (you might not be able to see it because they are hidden under the fish fillet), sauté mushroom, cauliflower, carrots, tomato, broccoli and coleslaw. This one will cost you RM 12.

Special John Dory. Slightly bigger than a Pan Roasted Dory.

Grilled Lamb Chop. Very juicy. Served with mash potato, baked potato, cauliflower, carrots, tomato, broccoli and coleslaw. RM 15. Very reasonable, right?

Special Chicken Chop. RM 14. See the spaghetti underneath?

Big glass of carrot juice & fresh orange juice.

The owner used to be a chef at a 5 star hotel. Which is why Fiske Steakhouse score 5 stars for their food quality and presentation. I would highly recommend this place for a nice Western food that won't burn a hole in your pocket!

Fat Spoon Restaurant

Every time I drive down the street, I would anticipate Fat Spoon's opening because the place looked extraordinarily unfinished. One day, I decided to check the place out. I arrived just in time for buka puasa and I just loved how cosy the place is! The place has this retro futurama sort of look and I could not help but roam around the restaurant!

There is also a cosy area for customers who just need a cuppa and chill out!
Notice this bar sort of area? Well, it's the cashier cum drink counter. Awesome much, right? Pay extra attention and you will see beautiful patchwork pasted on the beam of the ceiling!

What did I tell you? I literally checked the place out. Even the washroom looks adorable with posted comic strips on the wall and the unique pipe!

This huge blackboard that we would normally see in primary and secondary school walls is the menu and today's special board! They also have wifi for those eat-live-breathe internet sorts.
If Muslims are wondering if this place is halal or not, well, I am a Muslim and I have taken the effort to inquire on everyone's behalf. Apparently, the owners are a unit of an extended family! They are Chinese but some of them are Muslims and they had to prepare things halal. The meat served are from Muslim butchers from the TTDI market.
I got the menu right here if curious readers are wondering what else does Fat Spoon serve and how much would it cost. Mind you, the menu is glued onto pages of the Peter and Jane children book!

Since it is the month of Ramadhan, Fat Spoon offers complimentary kurma and sirap selasih or sirap bandung!
Village Chicken Rice - RM 8.90
Green Curry Chicken - RM 11.90
Ulan Fried Rice - RM 11.90
Watercress Noodle Soup - RM 8.90
Big Hot Chocolate - RM 8.90

Baby Hot Chocolate - RM 3.90
Ice-Blended Lychee & Mint - RM 8.90
I must say I was extremely happy when I left Fat Spoon that night. I now have my personal favourite dish and drink which are the Ulam Fried Rice and the Baby Hot Chocolate. Just brilliant!
